Pros and cons of a wind energy plant

There is no denying of the fact that the use of wind energy plant has given us a new medium of generating the electricity. On top of that, the electricity produced is clean and does not cause any pollution as well. But, like any other product, wind energy plant too has both pros and cons. Let me discuss the pros of wind energy plant firstly, then I will discuss about its cons:

Pros of wind energy plant

1.It has reduced or even eliminated, in some cases, the cost involved with the generation of electricity.

2.Earlier, we used to be dependent on the power agencies for generation of electricity, but the use of wind energy plant has eliminated this dependency too.

3.It is environment friendly because it does not enhance the pollution level in environment.

4.The installation cost of wind energy plant is also very nominal. One just need to some fundamental steps for constructing the wind energy plant and then can start and end with it easily.

5.On top of that, after installation, the maintenance as well as operational cost of a wind energy plant is also very low.

Having said so much about the pros of a wind energy plant now let me discuss about some of its cons which everyone should be aware of:

1.The major disadvantage of a wind energy plant is that it is weather dependent. In other words, it can be said that it will be operated only in the presence of wind. No wind, no electricity will be produced from the wind energy plant.

2.The rules for operating a wind energy plant is different in each zone, hence one must be aware about them.

3.Though, installing wind energy plant and producing small amount of energy is nominal, but generating electricity in large amount can be costly. Hence, one must keep an eye on the cost factor as well.

The use of storing the electricity generated by a windmill is often considered as the solution for inconsistent wind. I would also suggest that one can combine it with the hybrid system that uses the solar panels and also has an access to power grid will ensure the continuous generation of electricity.

At the time of installing a wind energy plant, one should be aware about its pros as well as cons mentioned above by me.

How to generate Electricity using Water turbine?

The use Water turbine is considered as the best and cheapest means of generating the electricity. At domestic level, it is being encouraged by many energy providing organizations. Rebates are also offered to the people who deal in generating the electricity by making use of wind energy or solar energy. In order to generate the electricity through Water turbine, it is important to have a source of water. This source rate will allow you to get water in large quantity which is extremely important to have when it comes to generating the electricity. In other words, it can be said that the Hydro energy is used in this process to generate electricity. The source of water alone cannot do anything good to you until and unless, you are not aware about producing the hydro energy.
As the name indicates, hydro energy is produced by using the flow of water to rotate the wheels of a Water turbine. The Kinetic energy produced with the flow of water is transformed into the mechanical energy and then it helps in the rotation of a turbine. One must make sure that that flow of water should be least resistant and hence greater will be the kinetic energy produced. More will be the kinetic energy, more will be the mechanical energy produced and hence more will be the production of electrical energy. There are various advantages as well of generating the electricity through water turbines. The electricity produced using this method is clean and inexhaustible. On top of that, there are no fixed hours of generating the electricity by this method. One can generate the electricity for 24*7 using this method. The installation of a small hydro power station is very easy and everyone can contribute to this as well. The Water turbine can be designed in many ways, but one needs to understand that the rate of flowing water should be high so as to generate the electrical energy.
The sun energy can also be used to generate the electricity, but in winter season, it is not considered as the better option. Hence, it is always advisable to use the hydro energy or flow of water for generating the electricity. The option of using the hydro energy for Water turbine is being used by the large number of farmers as well.
